GIULIANOVA LIDO : - A good first win for Cimberio, that achieves the victory in Giulianova, at the beginning of the quarterfinals of the playoff, and now it can take for granted the passage to the semifinal.
It was a match characterized by too many errors in the shots and in the passes. Clearly both the teams perceived the big tension which made insecure the hands of each and all. Rather, of almost all, because Joakim Lindblom absolutely did not shiver and in the final repelled with big self-confidence the extreme attack of Amicacci team, returned to be threatening with Marchionni (33-36 at 37’).
At this point a hoop of Damiano (the sole of his match, but really « surgical ») and then three consecutive hoops of Lindblom made the difference (33-42) consigning the victory to Cimberio.
Previously the match slipped away in equilibrium, although Cimberio always had some scores of advantage : 10-13 after the first alarm, 15-21 halfway, 19-28 at the end of the third quarter, marked by a hoop average incredibly low (it is sufficient to say that in these ten minutes Cimberio achieved a sole hoop!).
In the last quarter, Amicacci team, pushed by national Marchionni (at the end (8/24) and by Turlo (16 bounces), went for broke, repelled by a Cimberio not inclined of being overtaken
Next date is on Saturday in Pala Whirlpool for the second and final act of this contest that will open the doors to the competition with Santa Lucia Roma at the best of the three matches.
