Flying Wheelchairs

The championship A2 series of basketball with wheelchairs started again after the second stop.  After this stop of the season, the Cimberio Handicap Sport Varese had the break turn and consequently, it plaied only one game during the last month.
Not too bad, the team of Raniero Bassi had the chance to work a lot in gym and improve some mechanism which will be useful during the second part of the championship starting next January.
The match of Sunday against PDM Treviso is foreseen as rather difficult for Cimberio.  At the beginning of championship Treviso was believed as the strongest team of the series and actually it confirmed this until the last match, when it was defeated with the unexpected score 84-61 against Montello Bergamo.  This last is the leader of the table presently.
Each game has its story: in that occasion, Treviso was able to remained at the same level until the third quarter, but after that they gave up in the final moments, when two key-players were obliged to leave the match for fouls.  As a consequence, now Treviso wants to redeem itself, maybe hoping that Bergamo will be defeated against Genova in order to get the first place in the table again, even if together with Bergamo.
Cimberio team will play completely, even if Alex Samb suffered from ill during this week.  Nevertheless, he shall be able to play the match.
In the meantime, the team is now living the All Star Game show.  As everybody knows, FIP in whellchairs appointed Handicap Sport Varese as the organiser of the next event which will take place at PalaWhirlpool on 8th February next: in this occasion, there will be a match between the Italian National team and representative group of foreign teams of A1 series.  HSV wishes that this event could give more exposure for this sport and it is sure that All Star Game will be an important event of the season.
PDM Treviso - cimberio Handicap Sport Varese will take place on next Sunday at 18:00.
