Here we are in Burundi!
Some months ago, people at Cimberio S.p.A. together with “Varese nel cuore” began a journey.
Our goal was the construction of a school in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in the world, for helping children to dream of a better future.
Our journey was long, sometimes difficult, but still beautiful and stimulating. Now we can say that our goal was reached. During the last weeks, the construction of the school in Bugenyuzi was ended, thanks to many friends who participated to the fund-raising : we collected Eur 35.000.-, the needed amount to complete our plan.
Thanks to these friends, we could add a new building to the old one: six new rooms able to welcome 3.500 children and, what is important, with water and bathrooms.
Now the school is ready and in this moment, our delegation is flying to Burundi for the inauguration which will be held on Saturday 20th July next.
Thanks to everybody who participated to this project, who presented a donation or a supporting word, who walked next to us.
That’s our promise: on our way back, we will carry a little bit of these children’s energy, together with their warm and wonderful smiles.
