Laura Trentani and Roberto Ragazzi: an extreme challenge at the North Pole, with “Run4Africa” in their hearts

Determination, courage and will power: whoever decides to face an extreme sport competition knows how much they will be put to the test. A challenge to one’s limits that becomes even more praiseworthy when combined to a shared goal, as Laura Trentani and her husband Roberto Ragazzi did by taking part to the “Yukon Artic Ultra” in Canada, to support “Run4Africa”.

Laura and her husband wanted to take part to the 2017 edition of this extreme challenge – 300 miles on the Canadian ice – after their positive placing obtained in 2015. An adventure they decided to combine to the “Run4Africa” project for the construction of a professional school in Burundi, embracing Cimberio’s intention of doing some good even through sports.

Laura has spent seven exhausting days and nights running steadily with brief strategical stops of few hours, challenging the coldest temperatures of the Artic Region (with peaks of-39°C), the difficulties and the presence of wolves and wild animals. A test that the Doctor original of Brovello Carpugnino has successfully passed supported by her husband Roberto Ragazzi, who stood by her side up to the finish line, where Laura arrived waving the Italian flag, as promised to Run4Africa supporters.

Cimberio is more than proud of these athletes; sport is good, and with this umpteenth venture, it unites people from all over the world.
