Main Responsibilities:
• Production Management:
o Organize the department’s workflow, ensuring adherence to production schedules and timelines.
o Supervise machining operations, ensuring proper execution and achievement of quality standards.
o Monitor the efficiency of Transfer machine tools and optimize production processes.
o Manage material and tool inventories, ensuring availability for production.
• Personnel Management:
o Coordinate and supervise the team of operators, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
o Train and develop staff skills, ensuring professionalism and workplace safety.
o Manage work shifts and absences, ensuring full production coverage.
o Evaluate team performance.
• Maintenance and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
o Oversee the safety of equipment and machinery.
• Quality Control:
o Check the quality of machined parts, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and drawings.
o Handle non-conformities and corrective actions to guarantee the quality of finished products.
o Collaborate with the Quality Department for continuous process improvement.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with other departments (production planning, quality, etc.) to ensure smooth production processes.
o Communicate with the Production Manager, providing updates on production status and reporting issues.
Required Skills:
• Solid knowledge of mechanical machining and Transfer machine tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with materials such as brass and aluminum and the tools used in machining.
• Strong personnel management and teamwork abilities.
• Organizational and work planning skills.
• Problem-solving and emergency management capabilities.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
• Understanding of quality control systems.
• Familiarity with production IT systems.
Education:
• Preferably a technical diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in the field of mechanical machining, preferably with Transfer machines.
• Specific training courses on workplace safety and quality are an advantage.
