The gate and fence of the elementary school in San Maurizio d’Opaglio now shine in a deep Cimberio blue. It’s the result of Cimberio Days 2026, the day a group of our people set aside their usual work for a few hours to take on, brush in hand, a small but meaningful project for the town.
Not a symbolic gesture handed off to outside contractors, but real work done by the company’s own people: employees who spend their days in production or in the office put on overalls to repaint the school’s outdoor spaces, leaving the town with a corner that’s not only better cared for but now unmistakably its own.
“It’s a fine thing when a company with this kind of history, like Cimberio, puts its own resources at the town’s disposal,” said the mayor of San Maurizio d’Opaglio, Maurizio Ronchi. “As mayor, I’m glad, and honestly a little proud, that a company that has shaped and continues to shape San Maurizio’s history chose to lend the town a hand. Often it’s the small things that end up mattering most, because they serve everyone. Repainting the school fence was an excellent idea, carried out by Cimberio’s own employees, who made themselves available for the town as well. And I’m especially glad the gesture was directed at the school. It means standing close to the youngest among us, the ones who will shape tomorrow.”
“Watching our colleagues roll up their sleeves for the town’s school was one of the most striking moments of this year’s Cimberio Days,” said Elisa Giavina, Cimberio’s HR Manager. “It’s not just generosity, it’s a sign of a real bond with San Maurizio, the community that has watched us grow for generations. The people who picked up a brush did it with the same care they bring to their work every day, and it shows. That blue on the school gate will stay there for years, and every child who walks past it will carry with them, maybe without even knowing it, a small piece of our history.”
