In this season, Cimberio played three matches versus Bergamo (one pre-championship and two in championship) acting three identical plots with three identical conclusions.

Also in this occasion, against the team leader of the championship still undefeated, the team from Varese had to bow during the final phases, after having led for the whole match with margins sometimes definitely hefty (10-21 at the first interval, even 14-30, best advantage at 13’).

However a beautiful competition for Cimberio that, as in its two previous occasions in the presence of the team from Bergamo, suffered the physical superiority of Andrea Pedretti, authentic lodestar and essentially the sole strong point of Montello, but barely abatable.
Therefore, in the last quarter the match sparked up: at 53 points the last tie, then in the last 120 seconds Bergamo achieved the scores suitable for its tenth consecutive victory, confirming a leadership that it can be barely undermined.

In Cimberio, big credits to the collective that turned around the inspired and precise Roncari, true and constant
focus for the group (among the Italians we saw during the All Star Game at PalaWhirpool or in the next stage of Cantù also Francesco would have been helpful, moreover he was already known by the selectors of the national team at juvenile level).
“I believe that the team showed that, only with a couple of adjustments, could bear the impact with the maximum championship” states the President-Coach Carlo Marinello, which is already projected, with his co-operators, to the next season.
Now for Cimberio there will be the a turn of rest in order to come back on field on Saturday 1st March in Malnate against the PDM Treviso, last task of the championship.
In the meantime in A1 the context of the four teams that will play for the championship in the play-off that will begin on 29th March.
The Sardininan of mPorto Torres joined the leader Santa Lucia Roma, the defending champions of Italy Briantea 84 Cantù and the Banca Marche Santo Stefano.
